Alac and 24-bit in OhPlayer Raspberry Pi
Can't get either alac or 24-bit files (flac) to work on a fresh Rpi-installation, either with the headless or standard versions on both Raspbian Jessie and Lite.
Alac makes it crash, and 24-bit files plays but are heavily distorted. Am using HDMI as the interface. Is this a known bug, is a new version on the way, or what am I missing? Also, what is the correct volume setting for HDMI, to get a bit correct signal? |

I am facing similar issues: Hardware: IQaudIO DigiAmp+ with Raspberri Pi 3 Raspbian: Jessie Openhome-Player Works fine with Kazoo (latest version) as control point on my iPad and Minimserver (music library on external HD attached to Imac), sound quality is superb via the IQaudIO BUT Alac 96/24 sounds horrible (similar to playing a 45 record at 33 rpm). IQaudIO have confirmed that their DAC is capable of doing 96/24 Alac, so assume it's related to "Jessie". Any solution around the corner? |
